Microsoft has announced significant updates to their Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program aimed at enhancing the partner capabilities and compliance across the ecosystem. These changes are effective now, with Microsoft beginning enforcement checks from October 1, 2025.
What’s changing?
- Authorisation Requirements
To remain an authorised Microsoft CSP Indirect Reseller, partners must
- Complete Microsoft’s business vetting
- Sign the Indirect Reseller Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA)
- Generate minimum 1,000 USD in CSP revenue over any rolling 12-month period
- Complete all mandatory Partner Center security score tasks by July 1
2. Incentive Eligibility Requirements
To continue receiving Microsoft incentives and rebates, partners must:
- Attain a Solutions Partner designation or earn 25 partner capability points in each solution area (Modern Work, Business Application, Azure)
- Generate minimum 25,000 USD in CSP revenue over any rolling 12-month period
Key Dates
- July 1, 2025: Deadline to complete Partner Center security score requirements
- October 1, 2025: New authorisation and incentive eligibility requirements will take effect
